Fundamentals Day Camps

Fundamentals Day Camps

The Fundamentals Day Camps are high-energy 4-day camps designed to challenge players to develop core fundamental skills, develop a basic knowledge of the game and have fun competing in game situations! Position skills and overall team concepts will be emphasized. Various competitions such as 3-on-3, Hot Shot and other contests will also be implemented throughout the camp.

Campers are put into teams based on their skill level and age. Over the course of the week, they will compete in two games daily against other teams of the same skill level. Each camper plays an equal amount of time in each game with substitutions occurring every five minutes. The games will last 40 minutes.

The camp concludes on Thursday afternoon with an awards ceremony recognizing award winners in a variety of categories. Some of the award winners are determined by skill competitions throughout the week and some of the awards are based upon the voting of the coaches. Each day there will be a “Camper of the Day” T-shirt to recognize their effort from the previous day. In addition, all campers will receive a camp T-shirt, basketball and other Hoops Factory give-a-ways. There is a closing ceremony open to family and friends at 2:00pm on Thursday of each camp week.
